2013 Annual Fields Project and Art Fair
This unique Fair features artists from all over the country who come to the Rock River Valley to live with farm families for nine days, drawing inspiration from the beautiful scenery as well as the warm hospitality of their farm hosts. Set Your Sights On Oregon
Looking for something to do this summer that is close to home yet offers lots of fun and excitement for the entire family? From a festival to support the renovation of the Blackhawk Statue to a visit with Santa, Oregon offers great opportunities for all ages. If you enjoy the outdoors, camping, hiking and observing wildlife, visit the three state parks surounding our community. If you like to boat or fish you will find lots of opportunities on the Rock River. And don't forget about the Autumn on Parade Festival the first weekend in October. Stop out and visit us. The list is based on six components ....... graduation rate, college acceptance rate, AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student, average SAT/ACT scores, average AP/IB/AICE scores, and percent of students enrolled in at least one AP/IB/AICE course. The Oregon area is fortunate to be surrounded by three state parks, offering visitors a variety of recreational opportunities. Just north of town you can visit Lowden State Park, named in honor of former Governor Lowden who lived in the Oregon Area. Lowden Park is home to the statue of Blackhawk which is the second largest concrete monolith in the world. South of town is Castle Rock State Park, and west on Pines Road is White Pines State Park.
